Details: Lori Smith is the long lost sister of Lorelei Smith. Lorelei was the only daughter of her adopted parents, but she always sensed that she had a missing sister. However, everyone told her that this "sister" did not exist, but Lorelei knew she had a sister. She said her sister had blonde hair and was pretty, and at that time in 1959, Lorelei did indeed have a sister, Lori, who was 1 1/2 years old and living in Alaska, even though Lorelei was in New Mexico. Eventually, Lorelei and Lori soon met learned that they had more in common than there first names. They both owned horses, both played the flute and guitar, and both learned sign language even though they didn't know anyone deaf. Some doctors believe that the sisters' connection is genetics, but an exact explanation cannot be determined.

Details: Elizabeth Bersanetti grew up with an adoptive family in Southern California. For as long as she could remember, Elizabeth was fascinated with anything French, especially the language. She soon began having disturbing dreams where a shadowy woman would appear, whom she would believe was her birth mother. She learned that her birth mother had cancer and would not live much longer. A few weeks later, Elizabeth had a dreadful feeling that her mother was going to die before she could meet her. The dreams inspired Elizabeth to start searching for her birth mother. Through an adoption agency, Elizabeth learned that her birth mother had requested a reunion with her in the the same year she had, and she learned her name was Nicole Rolland, a French Canadian. When she finally made contact in Canada, she found that her mother had died the same day that she had the dream of her dying. She also learned that her mother's life was focused mainly on France-related topics, including that she taught French at the University of Waterloo, Ontario and had studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. Although she never got to meet her birth mother, Elizabeth was reunited with her mother's family and friends, including her half-sister, and she found even more links to her and her mother. She then felt the need to draw a house, which she drew and later learned that it was the house were her mother and half-sister lived in. Before Elizabeth left, a final connection was made. A friend of her mothers gave Elizabeth a book of poems written by her mother's favorite author, who happened to be her favorite author as well; in fact, Elizabeth brought the same exact book with her to Canada to meet her family. Elizabeth has just one more goal to find her birth father, Carlos Reza, who was a young medical student from Mexico City.

CaseEdit

Details: Betty Landers is the birth mother of Don Larkin. Don knew since childhood that he was adopted, but it wasn't until he was 44 that he was able to locate Betty. When he went to her home for the first time, he noticed a carved hummingbird and crystal prism in the window - the same as in the front window of his own house. It is believed that this is part of a strange psychic bond between biological parents and their natural children, even after being separated over a long time.
